Priorities

To strengthen our communities, we need…

Local Homes

Without homes we don't have communities. Pure and simple.  We're all tired of having to say goodbye to friends, family, and co-workers because they couldn't find a decent home here. I've led the charge to establish a local housing trust to protect our existing homes and mustered private resources to keep people in their homes through COVID and beyond.

Emergency Preparedness

Last winter taught us that our best emergency asset is one another - our neighbors, our friends, our local fire departments, our local road crews. We remembered we can pull together in a way we've forgotten. While we work to restore our forests, build better emergency communication, and harden our local infrastructure, let's do the real work of tightening the bonds between us. We don’t have to agree on everything to agree we need work together when it matters.

Economic Vitality

Business is more than dollars and cents. Business is people. Owners, workers, customers, suppliers, contractors, creatives. We strengthen our economy when we invest in our people. Stable homes, good roads, clean public bathrooms, ample parking, clear trails, accessible childcare, quality public services from mental health to building permit processing support the people that make our economy run. I've spent years bringing federal, state and private resources here to invest in us.

To keep our communities thriving, we must double down on…

Responsible Communication

Few things are more maddening than calling someone you need action from and not getting called back. As your representative, my job will be to not only ensure timely and respectful communication is a priority for local government but also a priority within our communities.

Collaborative Action

Almost nothing worth doing gets done alone. Nowhere is this more true than in local government. To get anything done, you need to pull people together, listen to all sides, build agreement, and create a team for action. For the County, this means increased collaboration with federal and state agencies, the Town of Mammoth Lakes, and our local communities. Collaboration is my natural way.

Mutual Accountability

Pointing fingers is too easy, and accepting mediocrity or inaction seems to be the depressing norm. We are better than that. Our place deserves better. Let's hold each other accountable and share the tools, resources, and skills to get things done and do better together.
